School Rules

Bullying, teasing and fighting are strictly forbidden.
Stealing of any nature is punishable by expulsion.
Insolence of any nature to the school administration, members of the teaching and non - teaching staff and school leaders (prefects) is strictly forbidden.
Vandalism malicious damage of school property, i.e. writing on desks, toilets and class room walls, breaking desks, sockets, waste bins, window panes e.t.c is highly punishable by physical replacement of the damaged property or expulsion depending on the effect and circumstances of the damage.
Use of obscene and abusive language is strictly forbidden and is punishable.
Leaving the school compound without a written permission is self-dismissal from the school.
Staff quarters are strictly out bounds to pupils except in case of an emergence.
Any relationship associated with immorality is punishable by expulsion.
Sharing, borrowing or lending clothes, beddings or shoes is punishable to both the lender and borrower.
Possession of pornographic materials is forbidden and punishable by expulsion.
All children must take care of their personal property. Neglect of personal property is punishable.
Throwing stones, sticks e.t.c. is highly punishable.

All pupils are required to report to school on the first day of the term before 5 pm.
The staff room is designated for staff members only and is strictly off-limits to pupils.
Pupils are not permitted in the kitchen area for safety and hygiene reasons.
Pupils are actively involved in maintaining a clean and organized environment by participating in cleaning the compound, washing clothes, and cleaning the dormitories.
Shouting and any form of noise that may disturb the peace and freedom of others are strictly forbidden.
All pupils are required to attend religious services in accordance with their denominations on specific days.

Visitation will be communicated in the circulars. It is an occasion when parents re-unite with their children but most important of all, it is a day when parents meet and interact with the teachers to discuss the academic and social progress of the children.
Parents are encouraged to visit their children on those days and equip them with the necessary requirements. COOKED FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED.
Visiting hours are strictly between 10:00am – 5:00pm.
All parents/guardians and relatives are not allowed to see pupils during school time and on weekends except on visitation days.
Visitors must first see the school administration before talking to any pupil. Pupils found talking to visitors without permission will be sent home with their visitors.
Parents who would wish to visit the dormitories should seek for permission from the school administration.

The wearing of earrings, necklaces, nail varnish, rings, lipstick, bangles, caps, and hats is not allowed.
Pupils are prohibited from wearing unauthorized jackets, sweaters, or jumpers. Violation of this rule may result in the confiscation of the item.
English is the designated medium of communication. Speaking in vernacular is considered incompatible with the multicultural society we embrace and is subject to disciplinary action.
All pupils are required to be dressed in full school uniform at all times during school hours.
Boarders are expected to be fully dressed in weekend or out-of-class uniform on weekends or after class.

The parent must visit the child on the visitation day and check on the pupil’s progress.
The parent must collect the report card personally at the end of the term.
He/she must attend all parent – teachers consultation meetings.
Should avoid his/her child having funny haircuts, e.g. French cuts
Should ensure his/her child is smart and tidy.
Should honestly and promptly provide to the school administration any information of help in the welfare of the child at school.
Refrain from discussing or criticizing teachers at home in the presence of pupils; instead, encourage open and constructive communication.
Be the mouth piece of the school and publicize it to the public.
Encourage pupils to study seriously at home and keep them at home instead of loitering hence encouraging discipline.
Must pay school fees promptly and bring the child for studies on the opening day.
Should ensure that his/her child completes the given activities i.e. home work, mixed work and holiday package.
